This notice is prepared under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to inform people who visit rakishtr.com and who write to us. If you are in the European Union, we also process your data in line with the principles of the GDPR.
What we process
When you visit the website. There are no accounts or online payments on this website. To run and protect the website, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technical records such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page you visit and the date and time. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which we use for visitor statistics, does not use cookies and does not identify you individually; it only produces aggregate figures (for example page views and countries).
When you write to us. When you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we process the information you send us, such as your name, company, phone number, email address, the content of your message and the product codes you ask about.
When you use the form. When you write to us with the form on the website (contact, custom orders or the quote list), we process your name and phone number and, if you fill them in, your company, business type, city, country, email address and message; if you send your quote list, the codes and quantities of its designs; and the page and language you sent the form from. The form is delivered to info@rakishtr.com as an email through Cloudflare. To stop automated submissions (spam), the Cloudflare Turnstile security check runs once you start filling in the form; it sends your IP address and technical details about your browser and device to Cloudflare.
Why we process it
- To answer your price and stock questions and prepare quotes
- To set up and carry out a business relationship, such as orders and deliveries
- To keep the website and the form secure and prevent abuse, automated submissions and attacks
- To see, in aggregate, which pages of the website are visited and how often
Legal grounds
Your personal data is processed on the following grounds under Article 5(2) of the KVKK:
- (c) It is directly related to entering into or performing a contract (price requests, quotes and order discussions)
- (ç) We need to meet our legal obligations (for example keeping commercial records)
- (f) Our legitimate interest, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (website security and aggregate visitor statistics)
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising. The following service providers can access your data only for the service they provide to us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, security, the form’s security check (Turnstile), delivering form messages by email, visitor statistics and forwarding of emails sent to info@rakishtr.com
- Google LLC (USA): the email service where your emails are stored
- WhatsApp / Meta Platforms (USA, Ireland): the service that carries your messages if you choose to write to us on WhatsApp
Because these providers may use servers outside Turkey, your data may be transferred abroad in line with the conditions in Article 9 of the KVKK. Information may also be given to public authorities that are legally entitled to request it, to the extent the law allows.
How we collect it
Technical records are created automatically by Cloudflare when you visit the website. We receive correspondence details from the messages you send us by email or WhatsApp and through the form on the website.
How long we keep it
- Correspondence (including messages sent with the form): 2 years from the last message if no business relationship is set up. If one is set up, for as long as the relevant law requires (for example 10 years for commercial books and records under the Turkish Commercial Code).
- Technical records: limited to Cloudflare’s own retention periods; we do not keep a separate copy.
When the period ends, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising, tracking or marketing cookies, so it does not ask for cookie consent. To protect the website from malicious traffic, Cloudflare may place short-lived security cookies in your browser (for example __cf_bm, for up to 30 minutes). These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to run securely, are not used to follow you across websites and can be deleted in your browser settings.
The Turnstile check on the form loads only once you start filling in the form and runs in a frame opened from Cloudflare’s own address (challenges.cloudflare.com); it is not used for advertising or tracking.
The designs and quantities you add to the quote list are kept in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), on this device only. They do not reach us until you send the list on WhatsApp or with the form. You can remove them by emptying the list or clearing your browser data.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it
- Learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose
- Know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred
- Ask for it to be corrected if it is incomplete or wrong
- Ask for it to be deleted or destroyed under the conditions in Article 7 of the KVKK
- Ask for corrections, deletions and destructions to be passed on to the third parties it was transferred to
- Object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis
- Claim compensation if you suffer damage because your data was processed unlawfully
How to apply
You can send your request in writing to the email address or postal address above, clearly stating your identity and what you are asking for. Your request will be answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest; if the request involves an additional cost, the fee schedule set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
